About Us
BANATAN is a martial arts school located in Margate, FL, offering a Pekiti Tirsia Kali adult program. We are part of the PTK World Federation led by Tuhon Mel Tortal, and our students are taught and ranked under their system. Our school is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow in their martial arts journey.
MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
Our team of instructors is dedicated to helping our students achieve their martial arts goals. Each instructor brings their own unique experience and expertise to the school, ensuring that our students receive the best possible training.
Chris has been teaching and training martial arts for over twenty-five years. He has taught all over the USA, Australia and the UK. He holds the rank of Black Belt in Jeet Kune Do, is a certified combat fitness coach & Haganah fight instructor. Chris is an active member of the PTK World Federation. “To be a great teacher you must constantly strive be an even greater student”.

Chief Instructor
Alexis is a certified instructor under the PTK World Federation. She has been training different martial arts since childhood, including Jiu Jitsu, Jeet Tune Do, MMA and Filipino Martial Arts. She has been focused on Pekiti Tirsia Kali for the past 6 years and is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with her students.

LAKAN GURO ALEXIS
Carlos holds the rank of Black Belt in Tae Kwon do and Haganah. He is a certified fitness trainer and a certified instructor under the PTK World Federation. He has been practicing Pekiti Tirsia Kali for 7 years and is dedicated to helping his students develop their martial arts skills.
